Questions we hear often

Do I need to wait till after birth to see a physio?

No! pregnancy is one of the best times to get support, especially for pain, pelvic floor symptoms and birth preparation

Can I bring my baby?

Absolutely! Alaga Therapy is a baby-friendly, breastfeeding-friendly space!

When should I come in postpartum?

Whilst the general recommendation is 6 weeks, You can come in any time, its never too early or too late to get support. If you are experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction postpartum, we recommend you come in sooner for support!

Will I need an internal examination

Only if clinically necessary! While it gives us great information about how your pelvic floor functions, we never want to make you feel uncomfortable. An internal examination will only happen with your full understanding and consent.

Do I have to come into the clinic?

Absolutely not! we understand that many women may require support but are unable to drive yet. We offer home visits and telehealth appointments!
